"Pacho is a nickname I picked up on my travels to make things easier when meeting new people. It's stuck ever since, alter ego and all.
I joined Seaber on 20 October 2025, with a CV last updated in 2019 and a LinkedIn profile that still said "barista and backpacking." A former colleague, who happens to know Sebastian, told me about the opening. I applied, and Sebastian promptly messaged that former colleague asking, "Is this the right guy? It says barista." My former colleague's response was a lot shorter: "Update your CV, dude." I messaged Sebastian on LinkedIn to explain it was an oversight, and that I am, in fact, mostly professional. Somehow, here I am.
At Seaber, I work across account management for several customers, though my official title is Implementation Manager. In practice, it's a bit of everything. The cliché about keeping customers happy happens to be true, and I genuinely enjoy the challenge of balancing what customers expect with what the product and the team can deliver, while keeping both sides content. If there's one thing I'd say I'm actually good at, it's listening.
Before this, I spent seven years in logistics consultancy across rail, trucking, and air. After that, I took a break to travel and reconsider some life choices, then came back for two more years, working with a commodity trading company on the global roll-out of their planning system.
Outside of work, I still work at a coffee truck, something I have been doing for four years. I backpacked for about nine months in 2024 and 2025, and while I'm based in Rotterdam, I live a fairly nomadic life. I love cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. I've only lost a few friends after they came over for dinner; the rest are still intact. I'm also into languages and different cultures, though I'm slightly embarrassed to admit I speak two other languages better than my native one.
Sports-wise, I play a bit of everything, master of none. These days that mostly means cycling around the city for fun. Museums are the other thing; I have a yearly pass that I use the way most people use a gym membership: guilt-driven, roughly once a month, always worth it once I'm actually there. I also carry the same book around everywhere I go, and have done for three years. I'm currently on page 50, which I know because I keep re-reading it to remember what happened, since pretending to read is most of what actually happens.
Fun fact: everyone who knows me knows I talk a lot. What they don't know is that I didn't start speaking until I was almost three and a half. My mom likes to joke that they were worried I'd never talk, and now she sometimes wishes that had been true. As you can probably tell by the length of this story, that ship has sailed."
